Putting the FAB in fabrication

This month we have reached a significant milestone – the first ecokit has been produced!

I have been very lucky to be present during the final preparations and the fabrication of the kit itself. It was a huge effort from everyone at team ecokit and the guys from our business partner, Vesper Frames.

A tremendous amount of work has been done to reach this milestone. Starting with a research on materials, design, specifications and engineering to fabrication setup and production (special thanks goes to guys running the CNC machine 12 hours a day to get it done as fast as possible!!!) but also dealing with many suppliers, preparation of documentation and a long trail of paperwork for the shipping and logistics around it.

I am very grateful and proud of the people contributing to this project. It is a collaborative effort to get it off the ground and there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing others being as passionate about ecokit as I am.

No rest for the wicked
While the first kit is being shipped to client’s site, the production of the second one is under way already, shortly to follow. The work on the construction site is ready to commence and preparations for the construction are in full swing now.
